PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - RainAzure - 12-01-2013 12:13 PM Hi everyone, just need a quick ask on what are the minimum specs for Android devices. ^_^; I hope I'm in the right topic. After looking through a few guides and videos, these are my following settings: Graphics: Quote:Rendering Mode: Non-Buffered Rendering System: Quote:Emulation - Fast Memory (Unstable): On If this helps, my Phone is a Samsung Galaxy W, Model GT-18150. ^_^; I'm not sure where do you check the RAM or COM or something, sorry. RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - Ritori - 12-01-2013 12:31 PM Minimum maybe Liked Xperia Play CPU and GPU? ![]() ![]() For speed up a bit maybe you can look solarymytic is thread ![]() http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=5236 RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - GuilhermeGS2 - 12-01-2013 01:28 PM I guess to run the PPSSPP at good speed, you need at least a 1.2Ghz Cortex A9 and a GPU like Adreno, Mali or PowerVR and 512Mb of RAM, recommended 1Gb. A Dual-Core processor would be better, even you not use the multithread, would be more power to process the emulator and the system at same time, at least I think. ![]() RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - vitality19 - 12-01-2013 01:33 PM any phone with arm v7, 512mb ram, and open gl es 2.0 will do (that's a stable minimum) RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - RainAzure - 12-01-2013 02:18 PM Ohh, that was quick, thanks guys! 8D After downloading a Hardware monitor, I found my phone specs to be the following: Quote:Processor: ARMv7 Processor Rev 2 || Cores: 1 ||Max Frequency: 1401 Mhz So... until I upgrade the memory (Or is there anything else I need to upgrade too?), I couldn't play any PSP games? =o RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - GuilhermeGS2 - 12-01-2013 03:54 PM Memory can't be upgraded in mobile devices. In a PC you just need to buy a new memory, open the CPU, and put the comb RAM in mother board. Unfortunately the mobile devices aren't customizable yet. EDIT: But you can play PSP games, no problem. RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - RainAzure - 12-01-2013 11:29 PM Ah, I see. Then how would I go increasing the memory, then? D: I see lots of much faster phones but never thought about it until now. But if I could play PSP games, then which one should I play? Yggdra Union already crashed for me, although the graphics are simple.Sorry, last question for me! RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - vitality19 - 12-02-2013 12:28 PM it doesn't crash because of memory (512mb RAM is enough), but cause the game maybe unsupported or unstable with the latest builds RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - GuilhermeGS2 - 12-02-2013 03:22 PM Don't worry about memory RAM, yours can run PPSSPP. I saw PPSSPP running well on less powerful phones. RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - FinalBlast - 12-02-2013 03:56 PM GuilhermeGS2, how does your phone do? Mine is a A13, 1,2Ghz(single-core) Mali 400(not MP4) Android 4.1.2 and does about 23-25 fps(50-60% speed) on DBZ Shin Budokai 2 (latest version, 3 months ago it was about 10 fps(30/35%) I think in another year or so I might be able to play around 40 fps most games maybe more despite this very low-end. ![]() RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - vitality19 - 12-02-2013 07:25 PM I can squish in DBZ Shin Budokai 2 on A8 (single) power vr 540, 1,2ghz (120% live oc) - 47-48 fps max RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - GuilhermeGS2 - 12-02-2013 10:07 PM Hm, I haven't this game, so I can't say how it runs here. But I run both God of Wars at 80% or more, sometime goes down at 60% (the Chains of Olympus runs almost all time at 100%). But I can guess more or less how it would runs, because I had a tablet exactly as your settings, but it was 4.0.3 no 4.1.2, but it ran all games too much slower than my phone, and my phone was using 2.3.4 that is a bit more slower than 4.0+. The Allwinner A13 processors are Cortex A8, that are more slower than Cortex A9 (mine), and it's single-core, my device is dual-core and my phone has the Mali 400MP4 (Quad-Core) while these processors has Mali 400MP2 (Dual-Core). I guess I would run it at about 80 % or more. ![]() RE: PPSSPP Android Minimum Requirements? - MYR-12 - 01-09-2014 02:28 AM Are these phone are suitable for ppsspp?
