We need the new Pause button to act as the removed Back button, example, when playing the game you press the Pause button once to go to the menu and if you press it again it would return to the game. That way we don't move the mouse to hit Continue everytime the game is paused.

And if we could also map Pause button to the right-click of the mouse then that would help tremendously, this will make configuring/handling the emu easier, and again, if anyone have used the PC-Engine emulator MagicEngine you will know what i'm talking about.

as a 'magicengine' user i would also love if this emulator have a configurable right click to go back, just the way magicengine do it.

i registered to this forum to support this idea, so if the developers actually read this thread then let me tell you that some users will love it if this was added, it is actually quite beneficial to go back with the right click of the mouse in emulators like this one.

Quote:12#Make the back menu/key mappable to another key (especially the right click on PCs) [req. by arg274,xZabuzax(twice)]
is fulfilled by this. That is, the right click part. Enjoy, guys. Tongue

Note that it doesn't alter the Pause button's existing functionality; I simply made the RMB able to be bound to anything.

The info can be found at:
0x110 - contains the save description
0x510 - contains the save folder name
0x1230 - contains the save type(for example, game save or options save or something else)
0x12B0 - contains the game title

Thanks, that's good information!

I was just about to request this. I personally use the home button on my logitech for that function. It would be nice that if I press it again, then it would go back to the game.

I was also thinking that in the keymapping section, instead of using the mouse to go to the next button to map, it automatically goes to the next button automatically. But before it does, it will ask you if you would like to map anymore keys to it. Microsoft controller wise: 'A' would be confirm, 'B' would be move to next key, and 'Y' would be to stop mapping.

Either this or just moving on automatically and if you want multiple keys to one button, then you can just use the mouse to say so afterward.

That way, mapping keys would be faster.

slightly updated

Thanks, arg. Much cleaner now, and easier to read as a result.

I've been asking for this request for month and i'm grateful that you showed support in this because in reality, mapping the Back hotkey to the right-click of the mouse is a nice feature for emulators controlled by the GUI, i've been spoiled by MagicEngine and i would also loved if PPSSPP could also do it like that.

Sweet beans, so the features are finally being added and good timing because today is my birthday =p

This was my best birthday present so far, awesome job you developers are doing with the request from users, this definitely makes users happy.

Keep up the awesome work.

No problem. There's just been so much to help fix lately that some things were given different priorities, you know? Confused

Every [reasonable] request is appreciated, but emulation bugs come first, yeah?

Anyway, enjoy your birthday. Smile

Yep i understand completely so no worries, i'm just a bit vocal when it comes in adding some features because i absolutely love this emulator and i would loved if the features i requested saw the light of the day.

The features are pretty handy and i knew PPSSPP would benefit a lot from it.

RE: PPSSPP Feature Request Page - xZabuzax - 08-20-2013 01:11 AM

I tried the latest git release to see how the feature got implemented and while you can finally map the right-click of he mouse to the Pause hotkey this is still not acting like the Back hotkey that was removed.

This is a new example of how the feature should be:

If i'm in this window menu and i press Right-Click then it should go back to the previous menu before that.

This is the previous menu after pressing Right-Click.

In other words, the Pause hotkey should act the same way as the removed Back hotkey.

Or just bring the old Back hotkey that got removed because now we can finally map that to the Right-Click of the mouse and this feature will be fully implemented.

I hope i was clear enough this time, thanks for all the hard work.

RE: PPSSPP Feature Request Page - VIRGIN KLM - 08-20-2013 02:31 AM

I know it may sound a bit silly to some or pretty neat to the rest but:

Pass *.PNG files of the USRDIR folder of the iso/EBOOT.PBP through the selected texture scalling option (let's say XBRZ).

Should look nice on 2x+ resolutions and should match the taste of the person that is using it, and it doesn't sound like a tough job to do, plus it won't affect performance.
