Good job "arg274" for keeping this thread up-to-date with the features the users requested.

We need 1 or 2 more developer to work only with the feature request and let the rest of the developers focus on getting the compatibility up. This is a huge request list and adding all this will take a while, so in my opinion is better to add the most important and "good looking" features first.

*Adding hotkeys to configure the entire emulator to your likings like Snes9x and DeSmuME can do, it is extremely handy and imho should be the first priority.

*Adding a preview/screenshot to the save states to see a nice little picture of the game you just saved, like pressing "F1" will bring the save state menu and pressing "F12" will bring the load state menu to resume were you left off, just like Zsnes, Snes9x (for Mac) and ScummVM can do. This is a pretty "good looking" feature that users will love.

When I download a new version, I have to move the memstick folder to the folder of the new version.
It would be better if the PPSSPP_STATE folder were not in memstick folder, newer versions do not support save states from older versions.

I have some comments about the requests.

BTW, i have to clarify that this request means mapping the "Back" hotkey to the keyboard (you already can do this) and also to the "right-click" of the mouse, i made several examples of this already in this thread.

If anyone have used the PC-Engine emulator "MagicEngine" you will know what i'm talking about.

I was talking about the msgbox you get when you try to load a save state on game that don't have save state.

We also get message in the game window,so why msgbox too(which is pausing the emulator until you close it)

And 3 more requests:
1.Add save state version number like on pcsx2...save states from different ppsspp version almost always make ppsspp crash\freeze,so show a message if we are trying to load such save states and don't load them.

2.While the menu is active,pressing the button which brings the menu to act as "Continue"...it's such a pain to go back all the way to continue if you are in some deep sub screen(menu)

3.Async audio...work really good on a lot of games with pcsx2

2.U9#Windows can do it,but it will be easy to setup the associations with one click.also,useful for noobs.
3.U10#this one will no longer be reqiured after the ppsspp UI can be configured using an xbox controller

okay,u posted the 1st one b4,but is it possible to configure ppsspp with so many options?.and yeah,maybe i should sort according to num. of requesters...

volume control implementation is in progress,thnx to raven02...

It is possible but most of the users will only map the hotkeys they are interested in, i mean just look at DeSmuME, that emulator is also full of options and you can configure all of them via hotkeys.

It is the "Back" key dude, not "ESC".

"ESC" will bring you to the menu but if you press "ESC" again it will stay in the menu. The "Back" key will bring you to the menu and if you press it again it will get back to the game.

I think the default "ESC" should just be removed and be replaced with the "Back" key by default. There's really no reason to have 2 options doing the same thing...

Edit:

This is the "Back" key i'm talking about, it should also be added to the "right-click" of the mouse.

Or maybe the Esc key to act as I suggested above...first press bring the menu,second press act as clicking on the continue button(the back key almost do that)

When you are in some sub screen\menu,rather that pressing back multiple times,pressing Esc once will resume the game

They are adding it right now...the direct input(maybe xinput too)is just not working right now.
